NPTE Forums are regularly organized to foster knowledge exchange and stimulate discussions between and among the government, scientific community, and the general public on recommendations in improving climate-change-related policies and practices.

The last forum for 2018 was held in San Vicente, Palawan, in partnership with the Palawan State University – San Vicente Campus, with the focus on coastal and marine ecosystems in relation to climate change. The forum engaged more than 100 participants from the academe, local government units, regional government agencies, and non-government organizations in discussing current initiatives/ policies, science and practices involving blue carbon. |
Regular plenary meetings of the NPTE shall be held on a quarterly basis, particularly every second Tuesday of the second month of the quarter, and as needed. The NPTE Chair and at least one Commissioner shall preside the meetings. The agenda for every meeting will be decided by the NPTE and the Commissioners with basis on the strategic direction/ roadmap and work plan of the Commission. Initially, the following items are deemed to be the priority agenda for every quarter:

Two quarterly NPTE meetings and two Special Meetings were held last 2018:
For 2019, the 1st quarter regular meeting was held last 29 January 2019 at SEAMEO Innotech Center, Diliman, Quezon City. Dr. Carlos Primo David was elected as the new NPTE Chair for the year.
